So rumor has it I've been blogging for THREE years now. That seems both crazy and perfectly reasonable at the same time.
This blog has been life-changing in so many ways. Literally, I changed my degree program in grad school because of blogging, which means this little blog will probably indirectly affect where I teach and where we live in the future.
And, of course, like so many others, I've built a whole community of friends through this blog. From coffee dates in Phoenix to staying at blog friends' houses on cross-country road trips, the women I have met via blogging are simply amazing. We've thrown baby showers for each other. We send group texts during labor. We send gifts in the mail and chat via Skype. In fact, Micah and I were talking about who I would have in the delivery room if he happened to be indisposed when I went into labor and I decided it would probably be one of my dear friends who I met through this little blog in the past year.
And, most importantly, this blog has become the sweetest ministry. Even when I've felt a lull with blogging or wonder if it's even worth it to spend my time writing here, I always sense this pull from the Holy Spirit to keep on typing. I have this quiet inner conviction to share God's Word here, and so I do. Whether 10, 100, or 1,000 stop by to read my words, He always uses them for His glory. I cannot tell you how many amazing conversations I've had in person and over email, encouraging women to read the Word, stop church-hopping, commit to Christ, and so on. God's work in this little digital space is nothing short of miraculous.
And so it's been three years and I will keep marching on. I will keep tapping my keys when the Spirit leads and trying to share God's love, grace, and truth with all of you. Often this will happen through sharing Scripture, but I hope you also see evidences of His grace and my joy in Him through funny pictures and stories and recipes and organization tips and whatever happens to be on the blogging agenda that day.
And to thank all of you who have been loyal readers and dear friends over these past three years, I've put together a fun giveaway for you. I wish I could give you all a gift, but since I can't, I will at least bless one of you with the amazingly fun package of goodies below. This is stuff I've gathered together to give to you and some of it is donated by dear blog friends as well!
