If you read yesterday's post and now think I'm a homophobic hater of gay people, I promise I am not. I just really hate sexual sin of all kinds. It makes me sad when I see girls move in with their boyfriends before marriage. I despise sex trafficking. I am disgusted by the sexual comments I hear teenage students making to each other in the schools where I work. And I really hate porn. Like really, really hate it. I hate the way it degrades women. I hate the way men are enslaved by it. I think it destroys relationships, families, and lives, and often leads to more severe sins than looking at pictures on a screen on in a magazine...
This week I stumbled across a quote from John Piper regarding pornography that eloquently describes exactly how I feel about the topic and I thought I would share it with you today...
I have never seen it. Nor do I ever intend to. It kills the spirit. It drives God away. It depersonalizes women. It quenches prayer. It blanks out the Bible. It cheapens the soul. It destroys spiritual power. It defiles everything.

But on a lighter note, here are some other fun things I found on the web this week... ENJOY!
--A fun little project {I'm about to get my summer craft on... AKA make my obligatory 1-3 crafts for the year during my summer break}
--I really want this skirt, but I can't afford it, so I bought this one instead.
--Loved this post on spending a year without the Internet
--Why a computer could never take over my job
--This week I bought 97 ebooks for $30. Yes, you read that right; I bought almost 100 digital books, and you can too. But HURRY! The sale ends today!
--Maybe being the crazy camera blogger lady is not so crazy after all
--When to toss old make-up. And while we're at it, I still consult this list every time I need a new cosmetic item. Jenna is my virtual beauty consultant.
Happy weekend, y'all!

I agree with everything you said! It makes my heart so sad to see porn and any type of sexual sin being brushed under the rug by the majority of our society. I sometimes am surprised by even some of my close friends not seeming to think it is a big deal. It is a huge deal.
Amen!! I couldn't agree more with you! And I am so glad women are not afraid to take such an open and honest stance towards the degraded subject, sex, has become. It's true purpose and meaning has become lost in reality shows, news, schools, celebrities and the like. Thanks for sharing! loved this post xoxox
Great post! I used to think porn wasn't a big deal. My husband and I both watched it. But since being saved and growing closer to God, we have both given it up. And more and more I realize how dangerous it really is. I agree with everything you said!
Great post! I totally agree! It makes me sad, too, when I see so many sins seen as commonplace, or you're the odd one out if you don't move in with your boyfriend. have sex before marriage, etc. I'll have to go back and read your other post. :)
