How to dress like a teacher: cropped pants {WIW}

On my last fashion post, I shared a little of my insight on dress pants, since I have been wearing them very consistently for over six years now! Today, I just want to share with you one of my true loves... cropped pants.

I am not talking about capris here. I am talking about slim, cigarette style dress pants that are cropped right above the ankle. These pants feel a bit more feminine than wearing regular dress pants {which sometimes make me feel a little boy-ish for some reason}, and they show off cute flats or heels like none other. Plus the husband loves them, which is always a plus!

Here is one way I styled my favorite grey crops recently. I look a bit wrinkled here for some reason... maybe I was? Sometimes I get a little too dependent on my wrinkle release spray when I really should bust out the iron... oh well! {P.S. I hate ironing and we don't even own a full sized ironing board...}

And here are a couple other ways I have styled these pants recently...

P.S. {Have you seen this amazing giveaway yet?! I am giving away a large ad space and there are so many other fun things included!}

I love how you wore those pants! I feel like my legs are too short so cropped pants never look right. i'm sure I could hem them though. : ) and I hate ironing things too. I hardly ever do it! I figure it'll get wrinkled after a few hours at school anyway!

I LOVE cropped pants. I can't wait until it's warm enough again to break mine out. My only problem is I'm really short and stubby, so I have to wear them with heels or pointy toed flats or I look squatty. Boo!

Love them!! I guess it's been too long since I've gone shopping because I haven't seen these yet. Haha I'm tall so I wonder if I could pull them off or if they look like I outgrew them ;-)

I love the cropped pant! I am currently finishing up my education degree at the University of Arizona, and I can't wait to be in the classroom doing student teaching so I can wear cute teacher clothes! :)

I love how you show a neutral colored pant with the classic b&w top, but also with more colorful tops, too. I'm always afraid to wear color with gray/black/brown. Thanks for the inspiration!
