Hi Friends!
I am calling on you for help today… I need a new purse. Well, actually I don’t need one yet, but I will soon…. in the next month or two. This is purse I’ve been carrying for the last 7 months…
And here I am wearing it...

It’s been a good purse. I love the orange. I love the ruffles… but the time is drawing near for a replacement. I want something different, but I don’t know what. I’m considering a crossover because it seems extremely practical for walking across ASU’s campus every day but I don’t know… am I too late to jump on that bandwagon? Did I miss the crossover trend completely?

Here’s the thing… if you’ve been around the blog for a while you know I classify my style as granny chic - gold buttons, cardigans, pencil skirts, lace, pointy-toe shoes, subtle animal print - that kind of thing. I wear items that are in fashion today, but that I might also be able to wear in about 50 years. But when it comes to purses, I’m willing to branch out a bit. I often buy a bright colored purse or something a little bit trendy because I know that I will probably only carry the purse for year-ish and then be done with it.

I love my Miche bag. The base is black and I have a long chain handle so I can wear it over my shoulder. I also have different shells.
The base remains the same and you can change the handles (if you want) and you can change the outer shell to match your mood or outfit in seconds.
You never have to take everything out of your bag to change and it's like wearing a different purse.
Here's the link (my bag is the "Hope" (black color): http://www.michebag.com/categories/shells
I only showed you the base that I have. You can look at their left sidebar and see all the different bases they have, and they even have a larger base as well. Have fun!
That's a tough one, I don't think I have any advice...I usually buy a bag and wear it for years (but mine are more than $50)...good luck though. Stopping by from WIWW
I don't know if this is exactly the style bag you'd want, but I saw this one at Target the other day & loved it!

oh gosh that orange purse would be hard to part with! love your blog, i'm following along now :)
I couldn't beging to tell you where to start. I like making my own bags so 1)I haven't spent much on a bag I'll carry just a few months and 2)I can make it exactly what I want.
I have scored some cute ones at Target though!
Found you through WIWW.

I love the orange purse!
I usually carry around a purse that is practically a suitcase it's so big. I bought a cross body bag to go to DC and I LOVE it. It's soooo nice to have a small purse to switch to that doesn't weigh on your shoulder!
Wanted to let you know about the giveaway I am doing. Hope you stop by and enter!

So I'm not really the best person to ask about bags. I am a buy a $300 purse, use it for 10 years type of gal. And I'm a sucker for Dooney and Burke. Love them.
Altho I just bought a Liz Claiborne at a garage sale last week and I really like it. It's very good quality.
You'll def have to let us know what you decide to get!!
I followed your link on Mine for the making...Love your purse! I am carrying an orange ruffle purse right now (one of my own creations, of course!) but I love the cross over you have pictured. Super cute! I wish you the best in your purse shopping endeavors :)
BTW- I was nosing around on your blog and love it. I am a new follower :)
